Dr. Mallary is originally from Gainesville, Florida. In 2009, he moved to North Carolina for his undergraduate studies at Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. While at Methodist he completed his Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training. Johntavis played basketball and football while at Methodist. He remained at Methodist University for his postgraduate studies in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. He graduated from the DPT program in 2018. Dr. Mallary became interested in the field of Physical Therapy after he suffered an ACL tear in high school and underwent the year long rehab. During this time he fell in love with human body and the field of Physical Therapy. He has immensely enjoyed that field of Physical Therapy since he has entered it. He has a love for outpatient Physical Therapy. "I am infatuated with the mystery that comes with working in the outpatient setting." Dr. Mallary is married with two amazing daughters and enjoys all the moments that he spends with them to the fullest.
